Raymon Yim, Ut’s founding Principal, is a distinguished Urban Designer and Master Planner with over 20 years of experience in community planning, urban design, and landscape architecture. Armed with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Raymon’s passion for Urban Design + Placemaking has been the driving force behind his distinguished career.
His leadership in large-scale projects across Canada and the US has earned him acclaim for his creative approach to design, seamlessly blending sustainability and stakeholder input. His visionary outlook and meticulous attention to detail have led to numerous award-winning developments, solidifying his reputation as a pioneering force in the design industry, committed to excellence in Urban Design + Placemaking.

Colleen Falls, Founder + CFO

Colleen Falls is a seasoned finance professional and business leader, currently serving as a founding Partner and CFO of Urbantypology. She has over 35 years of experience in accounting, financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions and business management of design firms. Colleen is a key member of the leadership and management team with responsibility and oversight of finance, tax, human resources, and administration.
Prior to her role at Urbantypology, she held the position of Managing Director at KPMG Corporate Finance, where she honed her expertise in strategic financial advice and team leadership. A hands-on team player with operational prowess, she holds a Master of Business Administration and the following designations: CPA, CBV, CF.

Lisa MacDonald, Principal

Landscape Architecture

A passionate and rigorous practitioner of her craft, Lisa brings an intellect and sensitivity to her approach and vision in Landscape Architecture. Having had the privilege of working in a vast range of project types, her collaborative style emphasizes understanding before action, elegance over elaborate solutions, and function that resonates with meaning.
With expertise in complex arboricultural issues and public design, she is renowned for her analysis and profound understanding of distinctive and historic sites. Lisa is a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario, descendant of the Historic Métis Nation in Region 7. Her experiences in the ancestral lands of the Great Lakes have informed her design sensibilities and are foundational to her professional values.

Scott Mason, Principal

Landscape Architecture

Born and bred in the Ottawa region, Scott draws on professional and life experiences from South Florida, Vancouver and throughout the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario, bringing his creativity to context-sensitive design. Scott is a LEED accredited Landscape Architect, and certified Arborist, who manages the design and construction of a diverse range of landscape projects.
His collaborative approach and respect for all disciplines promotes highly integrated solutions, from private development at all scales to Municipal, Provincial and Federal projects. Scott’s focus on the critical details, while balancing the big picture, ensures a rigorous delivery of successful landscape projects and has established his reputation as an inveterate professional and asset to any team.

Vikash Patel, Project Manager

Urban Design

Vikash is an accomplished urban designer with over 7 years of experience in the field. His work on master-planned communities, transit-oriented developments, mixed-use centres has made him an indispensable member of the Urbantypology team. Vikash’s background is in Architectural technology, however he has demonstrated talent and vision beyond a supporting technical role, successfully managing projects from pre-development stages to impactful marketing launches.
Vikash has worked with leading developers in Canada and the US, in urban, rural and resort settings, contributing to niche projects like ski hill resort development and Agrihood communities. Vikash can be relied upon to approach every project with quiet professionalism and insight, never losing sight of the sustainability goals and aesthetic appeal.

Victor Hernandez, Project Coordinator

Urban Design + Landscape Architecture

Victor has over 10 years of construction industry experience and an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology. He has strong skills in digital technologies and construction methodologies and has played a key role in the delivery of a wide variety of projects, from creative input to technical production.
Victor has made valuable contributions to our development projects, including subdivision design, higher density developments and major transit-station area communities. Victor’s construction experience gives him additional insight into the quality control of Urbantypology’s contract administration offerings for our Landscape Architectural services and has been increasingly involved in the design process at a finer grain. His commitment and thoughtful approach make him a stalwart member of our team.

Madison Costello, Project Coordinator

Urban Design + Landscape Architecture

Madison, originally from Peterborough, Ontario, is a recent graduate from the University of Guelph’s Master of Landscape Architecture program. Prior to this, she worked and studied in sculpture, installation art, and costume design. The transition from art into landscape architecture has been natural, as Madison has found meaning in adapting her strong technical and artistic skills to a broader canvas.
Through her work, Madison has enjoyed the design process from beginning to end, finding opportunities for creative problem solving at every step of the way. She has made invaluable contributions on a large range of project scales and types at Urbantypology, in both Urban Design and Landscape Architecture.

Rocio Lapuz, Project Coordinator

Urban Design + Landscape Architecture

Rocio’s experience with architectural projects began in the Philippines and provided her with a strong foundation of design principles and a collaborative, creative style. Her studies in Architecture, including an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology, allowed her to further immerse herself in the field of art and design with a particular focus in visual communication.
Rocio’s keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for creative problem-solving have made her a valuable contributor to both the Landscape Architectural and Urban Design service offerings at Urbantypology, for a variety of private and public sector clients. Her work is grounded in a firm belief in the transformative power of design and a passion to create meaningful experiences through the built environment.
